Cops in the U.K. are having a laugh over a bit of paperwork that was mistakenly required of one of its four-legged officers.

The Crown Prosecution Service, a civilian agency that helps cops prepare for upcoming cases, recently demanded to see a typed witness statement from an officer whose partners say was integral to a recent arrest, according to the Daily Telegraph.

However, a CPS worker apparently misread "PD," clerical shorthand for "Police Dog," with "PO," or "Police Officer," and so demanded to file a statement from "Police Officer Peach."

Running with the joke, officers filed an official statement -- complete with the 4-year-old German Shepherd's paw print -- stating, "I chase him. I bite him. Bad man. He tasty. Good boy. Good boy Peach." A snap of the statement posted to Facebook quickly went viral.
