A man accused of swiping cigarettes at a Glendale, Arizona, Walmart Sunday took things to another level after allegedly trying to take a dozen employees hostage -- with a loaded fire extinguisher.
According to the Arizona Republic, 23-year-old Ryan Herman was spotted walking out of the store with the smokes he allegedly took, and when he was confronted by an employee, Herman threw his keys at him. After reportedly smashing a window with a bottle of alcohol, Herman then ordered employees in the store's break room to sit on the floor, brandishing a fire extinguisher to back himself up.
Cops responding to the disturbance found Herman with the safety device pointed at the employees, and they Tased him before taking him into custody. He was arrested on charges of shoplifting, aggravated assault of an officer, and suspicion of unlawful imprisonment.
