A trio of dopey thieves in Colombia tried to use a stolen donkey as a getaway vehicle last week after they broke into a grocery store in the town of Juan de Acosta. According to Noticias Caracol, the burro banditos loaded up the donkey with food and booze during the early morning heist, only to experience first-hand how stubborn donkeys can be when they attempted to flee with their haul.

Instead of galloping into the sunset, the trio was surprised to find not only that the donkey wouldn't move, but his loud protests drew the attention of police, who arrested the men. What's more, Xavi the donkey was returned to his owners.
