Another week, another arrest for Lindsay Lohan.

The 26-year-old actress was arrested Thursday morning and charged with third-degree assault for allegedly punching a woman during a dispute at a nightclub in the Chelsea section of New York City, according to WABC-TV New York.  Lohan was reportedly charged following the 4:00 a.m. incident at Club Avenue and taken to a local police station, where she was booked.

Lohan was briefly banned from Club Avenue earlier this year after tweeting about Justin Timberlake.  She also was arrested last September following an incident at another Chelsea-area nightclub, located in the Dream Hotel.  A pedestrian claimed Lohan struck him with her car in a parking lot, but prosecutors opted not to prosecute that case.

What remains to be seen is whether Lohan's Thursday arrest will affect her ongoing probation for her 2011 necklace theft charge in California.  That probation requires that she obey all laws.

Lohan's latest project, Liz & Dick, premiered on Lifetime television Sunday.  The film, in which Lohan portrays Elizabeth Taylor, was watched by 3.5 million viewers and was intended to be the actress's comeback vehicle following years of trouble with the law.
