What is going on on Sesame Street? First, the voice behind Elmo becomes embroiled in a sex scandal. Now, Florida cops say they need the public's help after a Cookie Monster bandit robbed a gas station in Ocala.

The crime happened last Wednesday, when an unknown gunman wearing a blue fur-lined Cookie Monster baseball cap walked into a Chevron and demanded cash from the clerk. WKMG-TV reports the suspect, said to be a six-foot-tall, thin white male, told the clerk, "If you call the cops, there are people outside that will shoot you."

The man the cops dubbed the Cookie Monster Bandit then sped away with an undisclosed amount of cash in a white or silver Ford pickup.
