Residents of the two New Hampshire towns with first-vote status in the U.S. cast their ballots Tuesday morning, Election Day.

In Dixville Notch, it was a tie between President Obama and Mitt Romney, five-to-five.

There had never been a tie before in Dixville Notch where Obama won in 2008 with 15 of the 21 votes cast.

Things went better for the president in Hart's Location where he collected 23 of the 33 ballots with Romney geting nine votes and one person voting for Libertarian Gary Johnson.
