Hello! I'm Meteorologist Jeff Oechslein (That's X-line. It's German.), your Storm Team 9 meteorologist for NEWS 9 Sunrise and NEWS 9 Midday. I became fascinated with the weather as a boy growing up in Bethel Park, PA, a southern suburb of Pittsburgh. I would watch the weather on every television station (including WTOV9) and draw weather maps of the daily weather, and, wouldn't you know, I still have the maps! My dream and goal in life was to become a television meteorologist.
